Social work is about the up-keeping of and accessing opportunities in life in which a person’s humanity, identity, self-worth, their safety has a real meaning to that person and their families. Connect Social Care endeavors to work with organisations that also believe in this and
create environments in which Social Workers feel safe and valued to carry out such.
All our Social Workers are registered with Social Work England and BASW. We have a large pool of qualified Social Workers who are experienced in Child Protection, court work looked after, and fostering work. In addition, we have experienced Social Workers who specialise in:
Connect Social Care acknowledges that families come in different forms and sizes. Many families experience difficult and challenging times and sometimes it's overwhelming to address these issues alone or with help from friends and family.
By working with families we help to to address difficult issues around parenting, domestic abuse, mental health, substance misuse, alcohol issues, and financial hardships.
Connect Social Care believes that families experiencing these difficulties can overcome their situations and reach their potential if appropriate support is put in place.
We are mindful that there are parents who are unable to access support during the week due to childcare, work or other commitments therefore our support is planned around the parents to include evening and weekend sessions.
Connect Social Care understands the importance of family. We provide a vital service to children and families. Our aim is to help children and their families safely spend quality, fun time together so that they can build on their relationships and make happy memories.
We celebrate diversity and help families to celebrate birthdays as well as cultural and religious holidays that are important to them. Contact is supervised by committed and caring staff who ensure that the child’s voice is heard and that children get help about the things that make them sad or worried.
We provide contact services to families in situations of divorce, parental separation, parental disputes, sibling contact, or in situations where children have been accommodated and in legal proceedings.
Our Social Workers will undertake contact risk assessments, prior to setting up contact and provide a schedule of contact and a contact working agreement. Contact can take place outside of school hours, school holidays, or weekends and include:
